United States Road Rally Challenge Registration Open

Registration is open for this year’s United States Road Rally Challenge, sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America®.  The multi-day event takes place in Alaska and will begin on Friday, September 15 and travel from the Anchorage hillside to Girdwood, the Hope Highway, and lodge in Seward. Saturday will see the teams traveling to Homer, before the event’s end on Sunday, September 17 in Kasilof.

Fifty years ago, there was a Road Rally for the 100th Celebration of the Cessation of Alaska from Russian — and this year’s USRRC is to celebrate that 1967 Road Rally, raise awareness of the International Motor Racing Research Center SCCA Rally archives, and celebrate Alaska's Sesquicentennial!

Currently, teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan, California, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Alaska have registered for this year’s challenge. The event was laid out for both Cheechako Class (Stock) to Sourdough Class (Equipped), so no prior experience in the sport is needed.

Plan now to take part in the 2017 USRRC Sept. 15-17 for a fantastic adventure along Alaska’s highways and byways.  The scenery will most surely be breathtaking, as well as the fun!

Twenty Two! That's right, we have 22 registered teams with the latest team saying "it is something I have followed for years and always wanted to do" as the reason for entering!

How about you? The 2017 USRRC is welcoming to virgin rallyists as well as veterans. The scenery is stunning, the roads are not car breakers, and the camaraderie amongst the teams will be like none you've seen before!

Our lodging at the Seward Windsong has reminded that our Room List is due on the 15th of August...will YOUR NAME be on the roster?

Here is our recent mailer with more details: http://bit.ly/USRRC2017KP and information on our Rallying to Preserve the Historic SCCA Rally Archives portion of the USRRC: http://bit.ly/FoundationUSRRC.

Please consider making a donation, which will go through the SCCA Foundation on it's way to the International Motor Racing Research Center for our beloved sport of Rally!

A great way to visit the Alaska and have fun with cars.  All the roads on the event are suitable for a rental car.
